The membership in Troy Rotary continues to grow as William (Bill) L. Wolke joined the club, effective July 1, 2017. A resident of Troy since 1993, Wolke’s job as financial advisor with Edward D. Jones, 1408 Archer Drive in Troy, recently brought him back to town after many years in Greenville, OH. While working in Greenville, he was a member of the local Rotary club, serving on the board of directors and being the club’s sergeant-at-arms.
Wolke earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Miami University in Oxford, OH, in 1996. He joined Edward D. Jones in 2001 and has completed numerous certification and continuing education courses in investing and financial planning to help clients achieve their fiscal goals. When he’s not at his desk, Wolke stays active by coaching baseball and serving as the president of the Troy Junior Trojans Baseball organization. He and his wife, Mary, have three (3) children.
Troy Rotarians and the Troy Rotary Foundation support several community projects annually. During the 2016-17 Rotary year, over $16,000 in scholarships and community aid was distributed from the fund, including support for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program, Rotary’s annual Shoe Project, academic and community service scholarships, and sponsorships to summer camps at Brukner Nature Center and WACO Air Museum. In addition to the financial support, Rotarians volunteered nearly 400 hours to several service projects. The Troy Rotary Club is a member-involved, goal-oriented service club focused on socio/economic issues that have an impact both locally and internationally.
